The StellaCAD name:
The name StellaCAD was derived from the term “Stella” and the acronym CAD. CAD stands for Computer Added Design.
Stella has many means such as 1) the use of a colorful 3-dimensional type/style of art that can also be placed on metals, 2) abstract images, and 3) the word “stellar” (i.e., Universe, Star), which is reflective of our role in the aerospace market. We also support and provide services to many other industries.
Rather than calling our company StellarCAD, we found that it is more appropriate to use StellaCAD.
The title StellaCAD also reflects our desire to solve engineering problems by creating digital methods that can be used to incorporate a solution into the final product.
Additionally, the title “Stella” was also selected to honor people like Joseph Stella and Frank Stella. Joseph Stella was an Italian-born artist who became an American futurist painter. Joseph Stella was known for his depictions of industrial America. Frank Stella is an American minimalist painter and printmaker. In 1960 he began to produce paintings in aluminum and copper paint.
